  • GERMAN AWARDS NIGHT
     
    On Wednesday, May 15th William Tennent High School German language students held an awards pot luck dinner in recognition of various achievements of students during the 2012-13 school year.  Students were recognized for their participation in the GAPP (German American Partnershipo Program) and Deutschfest, for achievement on the National German Exam, and for class academic achievement.  The following students were inducted to the German National Honor Society:  Brennen Bastian, Aylar Bayramova, Justin Cammarota, Joshua Chast, Joseph Cunningham, Samantha Curran, Jena Keating, Regan Rudolph, Carli Showmaker, Natalia Sivchuk, and Alec Trobovic.  Congratulations to everyone!
     
    DEBATE TEAM DOES IT AGAIN!
    At the May 11, 2014 New Jersey School of Medicine health care policy debates, Tennent public forum teams including senior Adam Adnane, juniors Donato Luongo and Michael Pronin, sophomore Loqman Adnane, and freshmen Chris Berdnik, Jr., Cameron Zurmuhl and Sam Chebruch posted a combined 14-3 record in a field of 32 teams from three states.  Two Tennent pairs were undefeated in preliminary rounds, with Adam and Michael capturing 1st place, Chris and Cameron finishing 3rd, and Don and Loqman placing 7th. The students were judged by medical school faculty and students on the topic of individual mandate for health insurance.

    SCHOLARSHIP AWARDED
    Senior, Maura Carr, was presented with a scholarship from Foundation Community Partnership.  The scholarship is based on academic achievement, community service, and character and is a nomination based scholarship which begins with an application submission by the school counselors and administrators.
