Students in Extended day kindergarten through fifth grades meet for vocal music class forty-five minutes each 6 day cycle. During class students sing, play classroom instruments, learn about composers, and explore the basic elements of music. All activities are planned to meet the objectives of the National Standards for Music Education.  In addition, third grade students learn to play the recorder, and fourth and fifth grade students experience singing in a choral ensemble.
