We work very hard in the Life Skills Support Class. We try to accomplish many things. Each child
works on individualized programs to develop math and beginning reading skills. We also work on fine
motor and self-help skills. Gross motor skills are developed through group activities in the classroom
and outside at recess. There is a theme each week which provides the stimulus for language
development and arts and crafts activities. In addition, name recogniton, days of the week, month of
the year, schedule for the day, and weather are discussed everyday.
