Beginning-of-Year Device Information
Overview
Below you can find information on device return and pick-up for the upcoming school year.
With our increasing use of technology-based learning, K-5 students may be asked to travel back and forth from school with their devices, and 6-12 students will travel back and forth from school with their devices. As we have done in the past, the district will provide a device for students.
Incoming Kindergarten Students
All students will receive, from their Homeroom Teacher, their iPad and charger during the first week of school.
Incoming Grade 1 Students
Students who are returning to Centennial should have their iPad and charger from the previous year to use for the upcoming school year.
Students who are new to Centennial, students who chose to not keep their iPad and charger over the summer, or students who may need to change out their iPad and charger will take care of these needs with their Homeroom Teacher during the first week of school.
Incoming Grade 2 Students
Students who are returning to Centennial will need to return their iPad and charger from the previous year to their Homeroom Teacher on the first day of school. Students will need to write their name, grade, and homeroom teacher on a piece of paper and attach it to the returned device.
All students will receive their Dell Chromebook and charger from their Homeroom Teacher during the first week of school.
Incoming Grades 3-5 Students
Students who are returning to Centennial should have their Dell Chromebook and charger from the previous year to use for the upcoming school year.
Students who are new to Centennial, students who chose to not keep their Dell Chromebook and charger over the summer, or students who may need to change out their Dell Chromebook and charger will take care of these needs with their Homeroom Teacher during the first week of school.
Incoming Grade 6-8 Students
Students who are returning to Centennial should have their Dell Chromebook and charger from the previous year to use for the upcoming school year.
Students who are new to Centennial, students who chose to not keep their Dell Chromebook and charger over the summer, or students who may need to change out their Dell Chromebook and charger will take care of these needs in Period 1 during the first week of school.
Incoming Grade 9-12 Students
Students who are returning to Centennial should have their Dell Chromebook and charger from the previous year to use for the upcoming school year.
Students who are new to Centennial, students who chose to not keep their Dell Chromebook and charger over the summer, or students who may need to change out their Dell Chromebook and charger will take care of these needs in Block 1 during the first week of school.
Incoming CVLA Students in Grades K-12
Students who are returning to CVLA should have their Dell Chromebook and charger from the previous year to use for the upcoming school year.
Students who are new to Centennial, students who chose to not keep their Dell Chromebook and charger over the summer, or students who may need to change out their Dell Chromebook and charger will pick up a new device from our Central Admin Building (48 Swan Way) during the CVLA Materials Pick-Up Window.
Please note that all CVLA students, grades K-12 are standard issues a Chromebook (not an iPad). Students in advanced digital art or computer programming courses may be issued a Windows device instead of a Chromebook to support coursework.
*FYI - Any students who are withdrawing from the District should return the device and charger to the main office of their home school.
