THE PROCESS & REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION FOR OBTAINING A PLACEMENT IS AS FOLLOWS:
The deadline to submit your paperwork to be considered for a Fall placement is April 1, and the deadline to submit your paperwork to be considered for a Spring placement is November 1.
Step 1: The student candidate should email the following to Kristina Gilchrist:
Letter from the college/university formally requesting the placement, which provides the details of the assignment (e.g., dates, grade/subject, location, number of hours, activities that must be performed).

Step 2: Once the student candidate is contacted, by the office, confirming the next steps, the student candidate should visit the links below to complete the following paperwork:
Clearances (Important Note About Clearances: All the required clearances listed below must be dated within 12 months/1 year of submission.)
Act 24 Arrest/Conviction - Please download, complete, sign, and upload to the CSD Raptor system (see Step 3 below).
Act 34 Pennsylvania Criminal Record Check - On the requestor information page, next to reason for request, click on the down arrow, then click employment.
Act 114 FBI Federal Criminal History Record - Education students MUST register online through IdentoGO. The Service code is 1kg6zj.
Act 151 Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance - Please complete. Please note that you will be prompted to choose a category from a dropdown menu. Choose EMPLOYMENT.
TB Test - Tuberculosis test results must be submitted in accordance with the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
Step 3: After the student candidate obtains the proper paperwork, the candidate should visit the following link: CSD Raptor system, and complete the steps outlined below:
Step 1: Thoroughly read the welcome message.
Step 2: Please fill out personal information. You must provide an email address. When you're done click next in the lower right-hand corner
Step 3: Please select All schools (District Wide)
Step 4: Please select Student Teacher Observations for functions
Step 5: Upload Documents
Step 6: Please select None for organizations
Step 7: Please read the disclaimer below and provide a signature
Step 8: Application Confirmation Completed
Step 4: Once the district administration verifies the student candidate's paperwork and eligibility, the student candidate will be contacted by the office regarding a screening interview.
Step 5: IF the student candidate is eligible and IF there is a placement available, the office will reach out to confirm the specifics of the placement.
