Accessing or Creating an Account in Naviance
If you haven't already done so, please set up an account through Naviance.com . (Please follow the Directions to Access Naviance)
If you already have an account through Naviance please log on through http//connection.naviance.com/williamths
Please contact your counselor if you need your ID and/or Password
Complete your Student Profile Survey in Naviance
The survey is located under the About Me tab. Select Student Profile under Surveys on the top left of your screen. You will need to complete this survey prior to applying to college your senior year.
Update your Account information in Naviance to include your email address
Click on the About Me tab. Scroll to the bottom of screen under Official Things and click on Account.
Use the College Search Tool in Naviance
Under the College tab click on SuperMatch™ college search and begin your postsecondary education search to help narrow down your choices. College Board also offers a college search tool.
Consider taking Campus Virtual Tours
Many schools are offering virtual tours through their websites.
Speak to college counselors to see if your plans match what the school has to offer.
SAT/ACT- Dates TBD. Refer to Collegeboard/ACT websites for updates.
SAT Personalized Prep Through Kahn Academy
Log in to or create your Khan Academy account at satpractice.org
When prompted, agree to link your Khan Academy and College Board accounts
Sign in or create your College Board Account and hit "Send" to send your scores
Personal Statement/Resume
Start drafting on your personal statement/college essays so that you are ready to apply early senior year
Resumes (Resume Builder in Naviance) are good to send along with college application or good to have when seeking employment.
Search for Scholarships

Collegeboard Opportunity Scholarships/ACT Scholarship Giveaway

Letters of Recommendation
Begin thinking of teachers that may be able to provide a letter.
Request your letter of recommendation via politely worded email.
Best practice is to follow-up with a Thank you note.!
